The Sustainability and Safeguard Compliance Ltd. (SSCL) is an independent organization, consisting of analysts, professionals, researchers, and scholars with multi-disciplinary backgrounds and long experience with a good record of accomplishment, who were involved together to establish an organization. Professionals of this organization have been putting in services for fulfilment of its goals, objectives, and assignments awarded by their valued clients. As a joint venture, SSCL is consisting of social and environmental analysts, researchers, and scholars with multi-disciplinary backgrounds.
Our experts collectively hold more than a decade of experience in accomplishing projects in development sectors in Bangladesh. Initially the venture pursued their assignments under the name and style of “Legal Compliance” since 2008 as a partnership firm having required trade license from the respective authority. At that time the firm had three independent wings – Environmental, Social & Legal. Later with the growing number of assignments, the demand for formation of a separate legal entity became inevitable. Consequently SSCL is duly registered with the joint-stock companies & Firms, Bangladesh, Registration No. C-174206/2021 and the Dhaka City Corporation, Registration No. TRAD/DSCC/016302/2021 under Dhaka City Corporation Ordinance 1983 (Ord. XL of 1983), section 69.
SSCL provides services in preparation, implementation, and monitoring .including site selection, feasibility studies, environmental and social assessment, gender & GBV studies, etc. Since its inception, SSCL has provided consultancy services and implemented projects and programs in different fields of Environmental and Social safeguards. The Staff and Associates of the SSCL are all highly experienced (working in the projects WBG, ADB, and AIIB) and trained people, who have been employed in the industry in senior positions. They have the knowledge and skills (Practical and Theoretical) to assist their clients in preparation, implementation, and monitoring.
SSCL can offer workable solutions to Environment & Social safeguard concerns. We are also flexible when it comes to the products and services that we offer and will assess and adapt to your unique situation to assist in providing solutions. We take pride in the fact that we build professional relationships with our clients and provide long-term support. We can render an integrated effective service within Environment & Social safeguard policy.
